Laem Phromthep (แหลมพรหมเทพ), also known as “Laem Chao”, is situated on the southernmost point of Phuket Island, offering stunning scenery and a popular sunset viewing spot for tourists. Palm trees line the edge of the cliff and descend towards the rocky reefs, where the island of Ko Kaeo Phitsadan can be seen. The site also features the Laem Phromthep Kanchanaphisek Lighthouse, which was built in honor of King Rama IX’s Golden Jubilee accession to the throne. The lighthouse’s light can be seen up to 39 kilometers away, and visitors can explore an exhibition inside showcasing its construction, standard timekeeping, and sunrise and sunset time calculations. The top of the lighthouse also provides endless spectacular views.
